by TMR

CAGAMAS Berhad (Cagamas), the National Mortgage Corporation of Malaysia, is providing support to single-mother entrepreneurs within the B40 income group with business capital aids in collaboration with Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM).

As one of Cagamas’ corporate social responsibility initiatives, this aid is aimed to empower single mothers from low-income backgrounds to increase their household incomes through entrepreneurship. During the handover ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur recently, a total of 20 single mothers from Kelantan received items which included sewing machines, commercial refrigerators and a sugar cane juicer with a total sum of RM29,999.

Cagamas and AIM’s partnership which was initiated in 2015 has since assisted a total of 130 single mothers nationwide with a total contribution of RM140,000.
